Sara Cirkovic, born in 2004, is a talented boxer from Bratunac who trains at the “Obilic” Boxing Club in Zvornik and competes for the Serbian national team. She began her boxing career at an early age, finding in the “Obilic” club a family-like environment.

Within just a year and a half, Sara Cirkovic conquered both Europe and the world. At the end of November 2022, she triumphed at the World Championship in Benidorm, bringing home a medal for Serbia that had been awaited for over 20 years. November 2023 brought yet another gold for Sara, this time at the European U22 Championship. Then came March 2024 and the Olympic qualifying tournament in Italy, where she secured her spot for the 2024 Olympic Games. In March 2025, at the World Championships in Nis, she reached the semifinals and won a bronze medal — a world-level medal for Serbian women’s boxing. This achievement elevated her name to the international stage.

Her greatest success to date came on April 27, 2025, when she became the IBA Professional World Champion in the 53.5 kg category by defeating France’s Roman Mulai in Banja Luka at the spectacular event “Night of Champions.” This was her first professional fight, making the title even more impressive and placing her on the global pedestal of professional boxing.

Sara emphasizes the importance of discipline and consistent training in achieving success, along with the support of her family and coach. Her ultimate goal is to win an Olympic medal. Her participation in the previous Olympic Games in Paris was a valuable experience, and given that she is only 21 years old, with her coach Mirko Zdralo and her energy and dedication in the ring, there is strong belief that an Olympic medal will become reality.
