75 Years of United Nations 

Created 75 years ago in the ashes of World War II, the United Nations today remains true to its founding mission: to bring nations and peoples together to preserve peace and security, and improve lives everywhere.

Equality and the dignity of all people remain its guiding principles, enshrined in the UN Charter, signed in San Francisco on June 26 1945.

On this historic anniversary, let’s reflect on all that humanity has achieved together, and all that is still left to do. And let’s recommit to the vision of the UN Charter – it’s more relevant today than ever before.

This will be a wonderful opportunity to reflect on the UN's history and take stock of the Organization's enduring achievements. It will also be an opportunity to spotlight where the UN, and the international community as a whole, can focus its efforts to meet current and future challenges across the three pillars of our work: peace and security, development, and human rights.

The United Nations invites all Postal Administrations around the world to jointly issue the United Nations 75th Anniversary stamps in 2020 with the United Nations Postal Administration (UNPA) to commemorate this special occasion.

Poste Srpske gladly accepted this initiative and decided to take part in this great event and to publish commemorative postal stamp in this occasion.
