This herb is more popularly called vilina vlas, female hair, water fern and belongs to the old Tertiary flora. The Tertiary she had a wide areal thanks to the warm and humid environmental conditions, however, during the glacial lowering the temperature remained at the Mediterranean and sub-Mediterranean areas and the continental climate with a thermal mineral springs. Today is its area in the Dinarides mosaic with 49 identified habitats.
Vilina vlas is an endemic species of fern that grows only on the thermal springs in several places in the former Yugoslavia, and one of its natural habitat is the sources of hot water from 34 degrees Celsius in the Visegrad spa.
Stems of vilina vlas are long twenty inches, and is the basis of color in the form of women's hair which grew asymmetrically carved heart-shaped leaves.
Legend says that at the thermal springs in Visegrad spa lived fairies and bathed, they left the strands of her black hair that "bewitched" young men who secretly enjoy seeing their beauty.

Yellow beech

Тhe first look at the giant tree, the visitor is impressed by his appearance, especially during the summer when the golden - yellow color glossy leaves makes a complete contrast to the green grass environment rich meadows and pastures , and occasionally present other types of forest trees. This tree beech with golden-yellow leaves is certainly a natural rarity, importance not only for the Republic of Serpska, but for the whole of Europe, because it is unique in its extraordinary morphological , physiological and aesthetic properties.
Natural Monument "Yellow Beech" - Fagus moesiaca (K.Maly) Czecz. in Kotor Varos, was placed under the protection of a dendrological rarity, taxonomically distinct variety (var. aurea serbica Tosic), a typical representative of its kind, great value for dendrologic and genetic research and large commercial value of genetic material taken from this tree.
The total height of the tree is about 15 m, a diameter of about 20 m crown. Age has not been determined, but given that the diameter of the trunk at 100 cm above the ground 130 cm (circumference 408 cm), it can be assumed that his age is 250 - 300 years.
