In the period from 2007 until 2011 The Ethnological Museum of the Republic of Srpska squad conducted a field study "Old Crafts in the Serbian Republic". Based on this research resulted in the book "Old Crafts in the Republic of Srpska". Тhe book is showing 13 crafts that still exist in our territory.
 According to the definition of the old crafts are considered to be manufacturing and processing operations subject to such terms and conditions which protect and maintain the expression of traditional folk art.
 In a number of different professions occupy a significant place as crafts, they developed over the centuries and some were held today. Craft skills passed down from father to son and studied with the renowned master craftsmen. In urban crafts are developed faster and were in the hands of skilled craftsmen who had their workshops. Unlike urban crafts, crafts in the country are rare in the hands of expert artisans, craftsmen in the country are engaged in skilled farmers, doing the work in their spare time. The farming and livestock they are doing something around the house, as it is explained in the popular tradition.

On our stamps we have presented some of the items that were made by crafts such as pottery, saddle-maker, blacksmith craft, leather craft.

Pekva - cover hemispherical in shape, made of pottery soil - loncarusa. Used for preparing, cooking food on the hearth. In addition to pekva for the same purpose is used and metal sac. Pekva is a part of a fixture which was located at the hearth.

Samar Samar word comes from the Greek word samarion, Sagma, which means freight saddle. Samar is used to working with animals (horses), without interference transmiting large amounts of cargo. Samar is one of the few cases which form the centuries have not changed. The oldest data in this region is considered to be an excerpt from tombstones in Doboj in Kakanj, which dates from the second half of the 3rd century.

Am - is a piece of equipment for horses, made of leather. To use the carts were used harness or harness horses in the car. According to the type of harness is divided into working and parades. Work harness is simple and unadorned, while the parade harness much richer. Appearance parade harness always showed, property owner. Parade harness used when going for the glory, or the wedding guests.

Sheath-knife a folding knife or cakija as it is called in these parts. It consists of two parts, the blades are made of cast iron covers and handles that are made of ram's horns. The blade is popularly also called kleba or beka. This knife is also known as the shepherd's knife. It is widespread in all mountainous, especially livestock areas where sheep farming is prevalent. The blades of these knives are always decorated (portrayed).
